Editorial Board
 

Richard E. Friedman, Publisher 

Richard Friedman, Publisher of the National Strategy Forum Review and NSF President, is an expert on national security strategy and national security legal issues.  In recent years, he has written extensively about how to reconcile the need for enhanced security and the protection of civil liberties. He also serves as Counselor with the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security.



John Allen Williams, Editor 


Professor John Allen Williams is Editor of the NSFR. He has served as a member of the NSFR Editorial Board for ten years. He is a professor of Political Science at Loyola University Chicago, and he also serves as Chair and President at Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society. He is an expert on military and defense issues, and has lectured and written on civil-military relations, military personnel issues, and military strategy. Professor Williams is also a retired Naval Captain. He received is MA and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. 

 


Marilyn Diamond

Marilyn Diamond is a Member of the Editorial Board.  Her areas of expertise include U.S. domestic and foreign policy and public diplomacy.  She has been the Co-Chair of the Casablanca Committee of the Chicago Sister Cities International Program since 2001, and is the Honorary Consul General for Morocco in Chicago.  Mrs. Diamond has been a Lecturer in American Politics from 1989-1994 at both Barat College in Lake Forest, Illinois and Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.  She serves as a Member of the Dean’s International Council with the Harris School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago, and is also on the Board of Directors with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

 

  Frank C. Schell III

Frank Schell is a business strategy consultant and former international banking executive.  He was stationed in Sao Paulo, London, and Nairobi and served in India in the U.S. Peace Corps. He is a member of the Dean's International Council of the Harris School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago and a lecturer on South Asian affairs. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Stanford University.  His essays have been published in the Far Eastern Economic ReviewChicago Tribune, American Spectator, and at Gateway House, Mumbai (the Indian Council on Global Relations).

 


Endy Zemenides

Endy is Of Counsel at the Chicago law firm of Johnston Greene. His practice focuses on government relations, land use, economic incentive, zoning, legislative and public sector-related matters. Endy also served as Senior Adviser to Illinois State Treasurer and Democratic Senate nominee Alexi Giannoulias.As a member of the NSFR Editorial Board, Endy Zemenides specializes in U.S. Foreign Policy.
